7/19/21: Getting the hang of it
Hey everybody, another week in Quincy CA and it's been great.
Biggest news of the week is the we got so one on date for baptism! This last Saturday we asked David to be baptized on the 31st of July. He could no have been more excited about it. It's exciting because he's been working with the missionaries for over 2 years and he's finally feels ready. He's truly come a long way and worked so hard for this. I've been praying so hard that we can get him where he needs to be and nothing will get in his way before the 31st.
Also, on a less spiritual note, Ive got into Dungeons and dragons on my P days. My companion Elder Fiest is super big into it and my whole distract is as well. Somethi g I don't think I would've tried before but it's been fun so far and I'm glad I gave it a try. The whole distract is also huge into disc golf and so I'm working to get better at that.
This week I've learned the importance of members to missionary work. When we were in a lesson with David, we invited a member of the ward Carlos. He was able to share his own conversion story and how he came to a testimony of the restored gospel. It was a very spirituality powerful experience and it really helped David in his decision to be baptized. Member are vital to the work. And we as missionaries are so grateful for them.
It been a great week and I'm looking forward to the next. (As long as the fires don't reach us)
