3/14/22: Lider de Zona

Transfer news came in this Saturday and it was definatly not what I expected. I was pretty certain I would stay anouther transfer in Guabira, mostly to finish training Elder Nuñez and I was looking forward to that. As well we have a ton going on this next transfer especially with baptisms so i was planning on seeing that all though. But this Saturday I found out im leaving the area to go back to Santa Cruz. They also told me Im going to be the Zone leader in Zona Pariso which is exciting. Needless to say i had mixed feeling abiut the news. I really wanted to stay but the new assignment did sound exciting. But also super nervous as its my first leadership position. The good news is from what Ive heard is the new area is has a lot of work to do and my new companion is a great miaaionary. It gives me confidence knowing Elder Nuñez is going to stay because he alredy know the area like the back of his hand. Im sad to leave but confident in my trainees ability.

We did have an absolutly amazing lesson Friday. Three weeks back our investagators Hermano Reynaldo y Hermana Mitzi commited to being married and later baptized after the bishop promised to help. We have heard anything since about the help promised even when we tried to reach out. Everyone was a bit frusterated and I relizee we had to step in before they loat hope. We rounded up our relif society president and the elders quorum president and set up a lesson with all of us. To my surprise the relif society presidents husband came as well, and hes also the 2nd counsler in the bishopric. We had such an amasing lesson and me and my companion really just took a step back and let the ward leaders share theur testimony and experience joining the church. The all share how their journey to join the Church of Jesus Chrsit was not easy, but it was worth every sacrifice made. In the end the leaders planned a wqy to help tuis family make ends meet until they had the money to marry and ve baptized. It was such a greqt experice and im grqtful for the wqrd leaders we have and their dedication to helping the ward.

Praying for all of you, have a greqt week Elder Allen
