6/27/22: Aniversario del Barrio

This last week was our wards 2 year anniversary and they went big for it. Every single day of last week there was a ward activity. With our new goal to grow closer to the ward we made and effort to show up to every activity and bring an investigator. I definitely thought it was worth the time and had a blast at every activity.

Tuesday was definitely the best activity, it was the festival Mormon (named after the prophet not the nickname of the church). It was a big dance festival where the youth of every ward prepared a traditional dance from a different region of Bolivia. Our ward had been rehearsing for weeks and it really paid off. The costumes and dances were amazing and it was clear each ward put a lot of effort to prepare. Each ward had a color assigned with ours being yellow and it was fun to watch all the ward get hyped up and excited when there ward was up to dance. I lost my voice cheering and it seemed our investigators had a good time too. Plus the entrance fee was 1 pound of non perishable that was be donated to Helping Hands of the church to help those in need so it did a lot of good as well.

The rest of the week was as well filled with sports nights and potlucks. I had a great time getting to know the ward better and making lasting friendships. We finished the week with a baptism which is always a good way to end off.

That's about it for this week we have 2 people coming close to baptism, Isreal and Jampier, so pray that their testimonies can be strengthened.

Also shout-out to my sister, Eden, who got married and sealed this last Friday!! So happy for you and Erik. Sad I couldn't have been there but just know I'm celebrating for you guys down here too!
